What I have been reading, watching and loving lately.

I love doing these sort of 'life updates'. It covers all manner of things I have been enjoying lately and feel free to leave in the comments any recommendations you might have.

Reading...

I am still reading My Sister the Serial Killer. I don't know why it is taking so long to get through this one when the chapters are so short! I tend to only pick up my Kindle at the minute whilst I am sprawled out on my little girls bedroom floor willing her to fall asleep!

Also, as a treat to myself I bought and caught myself up on all the illustrated Harry Potter books I was missing. I can't wait until my littlest is old enough to read them too, but in the meantime... they are all mine!

However, I am determined to start a few of my non fiction books as part of my goals for 2020. Currently I am half way through Blue: A Memoir - Keeping the Peace and Falling to Pieces by John Sutherland.

Watching...

I can honestly say I wasn't really impressed with any of the festive TV offerings at Christmas. Controversial, but even as the biggest Gavin & Stacey fan going I really hated the festive special. However, New Amsterdam season 2 on Netflix didn't disappoint. I think I finished watching it over 3/4 days and loved the topics they touched on.

Sticks and Stones on ITV was such uncomfortable television, but well worth the watch. Admittedly, I couldn't sleep for hours after it. It was hard to believe there are such people in this world, but there is.

You on Netflix is the obvious choice. I watched the first season in one go and I pretty much binge watched the 2nd season. I have also started The Witcher which I am enjoying but find each episode a bit dense, and at an hour long I struggle to keep still!

On a totally different note I also watched The Disappearance of Margaret Fleming documentary on the BBC. I enjoyed it, well, as much as you would enjoy watching a murder trial. It was definitely an interesting story.

And finally I actually made it out of the house to watch the newest Star Wars. I can't say I loved it, but it was certainly watchable. I certainly have started having a love/hate relationship with the cinema. I love it when I'm there but just hate the thought of going? Please tell me I'm not alone in this!

Loving...

I have actually been loving all the things I picked up in London and my Christmas presents. I will be writing a blog post on the few bits I bought myself for Christmas and also the sale bits I have picked up since. However, I haven't really had a chance to discover any favourites yet but stay tuned!
