My Christmas Traditions.

Christmas is my favourite time of year. Period. And I have a few traditions that I have to do every year without fail.

01. Spotify Christmas playlist on repeat.

I just ask Alexa to play Christmas music and that's me. I don't really have a preference but I think the older stuff is the key to feeling the most festive. Buble though...

02. Make the necessary Christmas purchases.

Every year I buy Christmas candles, pyjamas and a Christmas jumper without fail. I also always have to purchase Lush's Rose Jam. I have been posting on my Instagram all the bits I have been buying recently if you want to have a nosey. I'd like to think I have got all the essentials now though.

03. Trip to London.

This is quite a new tradition, but we went last year and I just loved it so much. This year we are only going for the day, but I already have a list as long as my arm of stuff I want to do. Not so much shopping as I can do that anywhere, but more foodie places, seeing the lights, visiting Liberty, and paying a visit to Winter Wonderland. It's funny because I used to live down there but it still holds a massive piece of my heart.

04. Decorate the house.

This is a given, and I have already ticked this off my list. You can see the majority of our Christmas home here but I am still waiting on a few finishing touches to be delivered.

05. Ordering all the trimmings.

The food order is one of the most important things for me, that, and chocolate tubs. This year I am thinking of winging it though and doing a trolley dash on the 23rd. This is not like me at all as I pride myself on being super organised, but I feel like I just can't commit to anything! Everything looks so yummy, but I have to be so careful with my stomach at the minute, and last year I was given such short dates I thought this would be the better option.

As long as I get my nut roast I'm golden!

06. TV Specials.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Christmas films, but there is just something about traditional British Christmas TV specials that just really get me in the mood. My favourites have to be: The Vicar of Dibley (always) Miranda, The Royle Family, Father Ted and Gavin & Stacey. I tend to watch these over and over again, sometimes even when it's not Christmas and I need cheering up.
