I love to set myself goals, so I am hoping I can tick a few off my list before the end of the year. I have really struggled with my reading mojo the last few years; I went from reading 2-3 books a month to maybe just 1 a year.
So, lets start with these..
GUT BY GIULIA ENDERS
I think it is safe to assume I have a troublesome gut and this book really took my interest, I just hope it doesn't make my health anxiety worse! My reasoning was that the more knowledge you have, the better.I AM I AM I AM BY NAME MAGGIE O'FARRELL
I am reading this on the back of Unnatural Causes by Richard Shepherd. I am not really keen on short stories in general (this goes back to my uni days) because I always found them a bit lacking. I am hoping this book changes my mind and also opens myself back up to short stories as a whole. I quite like true crime, gruesome literature as a whole but I definitely have to be in the mood.THE BRINK BY JAMES MURRY
I am such a big Impractical Jokers fan. I have his first book (still waiting to be read too!) and I think I will probably tackle these two together so I don't lose interest or focus.THE SCHOOL OF LIFE BY ALAIN DE BOTTON
Who doesn't love a good self help book? I often let my emotions rule me, although I am slowly learning that that isn't always for the best. I guess I am hoping this book offers an insight as to why I sometimes react the way I do to things and can my reactions be honed in to something that is a bit more useful.MY SISTER, THE SERIAL KILLER BY OYINKAN BRAITHWAITW
I purchased this on my Kindle and so far it is a quite easy read. I am about a third of the way through and the chapters are quite short and punchy, which I like. What is on your TBR pile at the moment?
